The Assignment Chronicles: Project 2

Next up: Project 2, or as I call it, “The Big One”.
You know how it works, the first part is cool, the sequel is pretty much the first one again, so it is still okay but you feel a little ripped-off afterwards. Luckily there is no “Project 3: The Projectioning”.
Project 1 was the part where [...]

The Assignment Chronicles: WDfI

Web Design for Industry, Assignment 4. Or as I call it, “The Easy One”.
The brief for the project was a work of pure genius: “Write your own brief. And make it good!” Awesome!
Well, I went down to Creativityville (it’s next to Innovationhausen, you might want to check Google Maps) and brought with me the same [...]

The Assignment Chronicles: Introduction

Facing this blog’s painfully obvious lack of content I finally decided to sit down and write a bit on each assignment I’m currently being forced to do.
Why? Hell, am I supposed to know everything? Come on!
I guess what I hope to achieve is to get a bigger picture of what I want to end up [...]

She packed my bags last night…

And thus Easter break ends. Well, not the break itself, I still have a few days left, but I’m leaving Germany tomorrow. Back to England. Only one month left until all my stuff has to be ready. WDfI is pretty much done. A&DD is virtually nonexistent as I am still waiting for Lukas to respond. [...]

A smallish collection of BS

I had not even realized, that that Twitter summary thing was running all the time. I guess if I posted more frequently it would not look so pathetic, but that would mean I’d have to get productive. Meh.
In other news, the DCiJ project is still far from being complete, but the implementation has reached a [...]

I’m goin’ to catch me a bunny

Leaving England today. Not forever, mind you. Just for a week, over Easter. I only hope I manage to get enough work done there, since I didn’t get as far as I wanted in the past two weeks.
Project and DCiJ should be at least fully implemented when the holidays are over. We’ll see.

What am I doing? Nothing!

I’m getting lazy, not just when it comes to writing on the blog. I try to get at least 5 items on my to do list done each day now. Not that successfully.
The Java-project is moving slowly. Still can’t find any motivation. I hope to get the basic functionality finished tomorrow. Then there’ll only be [...]

Oh Windows, you dick!

Started the implementation of the DCiJ project today. Had lots of fun trying to configure the Tomcat server. It really seems to hate me.
Then it suddenly did not want to launch anymore, because an instance of it was still running. I tried to kill it and Windows froze. Reboot. Bluescreen. Reboot. Bluescreen. Repair from the [...]

Shutdown Day

Yeees, I know, I shouldn’t actually be writing this, since today is “Shutdown Day”. I actually quite liked the idea to spend a whole day without the computer.
Sadly I’ve had more than enough shutdown days in the last year, so I think I don’t need to prove anything to a site that allows me to [...]

E-Business: Almost there

Here’s the promised update.
The e-business-paper is done. Yesterday morning I had actually received the texts from Sebastian and Bijan. Funny story, their e-mails both had a ring to them, that the deadline of “Wednesday, midnight!” was sort of a surprise. It’s not that you can forget a lot in two weeks, but I had reminded [...]
