A while ago, as a little exercise while learning Ruby on Rails, I ported the CheapCarHire-website I had to build in Java over to RoR. While I’m pretty sure that I could revisit the project again by now and cut at least a quarter of the code I used last time, I was still very happy how quickly I got it done.
So I decided to start another project, this time a bit bigger. So for the last couple of days I have been working on a little web-based tool that was originally supposed to help me in organizing my job applications, kind of like a more specialized Backpack-knockoff.But some time in the next couple of weeks I’m planning on going public with the damn thing, mostly to learn from the input people might have, but also because someone might happen to find it useful.
