Started the implementation of the DCiJ project today. Had lots of fun trying to configure the Tomcat server. It really seems to hate me.
Then it suddenly did not want to launch anymore, because an instance of it was still running. I tried to kill it and Windows froze. Reboot. Bluescreen. Reboot. Bluescreen. Repair from the installation disk. Bluescreen. Backed up files from the Boot Camp partition. Reinstalled. “Could not find file XYZFUCKYOU.dll” Removed the partition. Installed Windows in Parallels. Spent an hour fighting with the network configuration. Finally started installing 80 updates. Still waiting.
Well, at least I got the persistence layer of the app running today. I just hope the project will be easy to reintegrate tomorrow.
