London-day…again

Today was London-day. The weather was great. The Weather Widget lied to me, so I brought my coat and my umbrella and carried that shit around all day.
I also left in kind of a hurry and forgot my camera. So no photos of a sunny London.
On the train to London we passed a town were everyone seemed to have a giant trampoline in their garden. Seems to be sort of en vogue to have one these days. I wonder if I could fit one into my room.
Luckily I looked at my booking information again yesterday and saw, that I actually booked my trip to London by train. Would have been rather embarrassing if I had waited for the bus all day.
While walking on a bridge across the Thames I noticed that London smells like armpits and sugar. Weird combination. But surprisingly enticing.
I also walked past something that was either a woman with a mustache that would make Prussian generals cry in envy or just a dude wearing a skirt. I wonder what would be more unusual these days.
Oh, and the service at Niketown sucks.
“Hi, I’m looking for a Nike+ compatible running shoe.”
“What kind of running?”
“Nothing serious. Just a few rounds through the park every day.”
“Well, these are our running shoes. This is a running shoe. This is a running shoe, too. These cost more than those. But they’re all running shoes.”
Well thank you.
Then he ran off to join one of his colleagues in taking care of a female customer. Sure, I can understand his motives, but honestly, the shoes in the Nike+ section on the “Running” rack are actually running shoes? I can fucking read, but you’re supposed to know which ones I need for which type of running. He then had a strange machine fetch me a pair in my size and after I had been ignored for another twenty minutes while I tried the shoes he was actually nice enough to mention all the other gear I should buy. Gaaah.
